Finance candidate with a background in software engineering. CFA Level I. Open to IB and equity research roles across Dubai and Canada.
About
I am a recent University of British Columbia graduate (BSc Computer Science, Economics Minor) pursuing a career in investment banking and equity research. I hold a UAE Golden Visa and am actively targeting roles across Dubai and Canada, with a particular interest in MENA markets and the technology sector.
My background spans software engineering roles at MH Alshaya in Dubai and MicroLabs in Singapore, alongside independent equity research work including a self-built Python pipeline featuring LSTM forecasting, mean-variance optimization, and systematic backtesting. I sit the CFA Level I exam in August 2026.
My analytical work focuses on large-cap technology: how platform companies compound advantages across verticals, how AI capital expenditure cycles reshape competitive dynamics, and where the market misprices optionality embedded in conglomerate structures.
